Road Construction in the Smoky Mountains National Park

• Newfound Gap Road (US 441) will have an ongoing paving on the Tennessee side from Newfound Gap Parking Area to the Sugarlands Intersection.
   

Blue Ridge Parkway Road Conditions and Construction

• Closed From Milepost 232.5 to 237
  The section of the Blue Ridge Parkway from the Stone Mountain Overlook to the Air Bellows Gap and will remain closed until summer of 2012. Detour traffic signage will direct Parkway visitors around the closure area via NC Route 18 and US Highway 21 through Laurel Springs and Sparta.
